We are probably just like you! We are a family, based in London England, who went through the massive change of becoming parents. That was over two years ago now and our new life has given us the opportunity to experience something completely new and build a wonderful new set of friends.

Why did we start this website?

Well, without putting my husband in the shade with this, I’d like to say that this was my idea (although I know he’d prefer me to say that it was a team effort!!).

The idea only struck me due to how much time I was spending with other mums in such a similar position to me. I became so aware of how all of my friends lives had changes so abruptly due to becoming parents (well, mums to be precise). It was crazy – all my friends were strong, independent women, several of whom had far more successful and high profile careers than myself. Yet, the sudden speed of change was something I don’t think any of us expected.

I think we were all OK at the beginning – let’s face it, becoming a mum was (and is) pretty scary, so we all had plenty on our plates, but as time went on and maternity periods began to finish, I began to see a few cracks emerge . . . .

Conversations would take place regarding loss of financial and personal independence, other chats about how much harder it was to fit back into their previous working environment, some could not even return to their previous place of work.

BUT – I want to add here that all the mums I know are very fair and realistic people. They knew their lives would change, but probably like me, they didn’t expect the speed or amount of change – and whichever direction they looked they were not getting enough answers or  support.

So, my husband and I decided to do something about it!

(Yes, this is the bit where I do give him some credit!) He is very good at developing businesses online and has a mass of experience in identifying internet business opportunities (although, as I said – this one’s all mine!!), building websites, enabling them to be found on the search engines – PLUS, he also understands how income is created online.

So, the ‘Internet Mums’ website was created for two main reasons:

  • Firstly, to help mums realise that you are not alone in how you may feel about becoming a mum by enabling you to see plenty of stories about how other mums feel when they become parents.
  • The other reason is to give you step by step guides to enable you create your very own home internet business or job opportunity.

Importantly, you will also find that we have added information to help you avoid the numerous ‘get rich quick’ internet opportunities – as we know several examples of where people have been sucked in and lost money on these.
