Link Building – what is it and how does it help website SEO?

I recently found an excellent article on inbound link building written by a guy called Jayson Brown. Link Building is something I touched on within my SEO and getting up the Google Rankings article that I recently wrote. What I liked about Jayson’s article is that it followed a very similar writing style – no jargon, just straightforward talking. You’ll also find many other interesting articles on his site if you want to learn more about this subject – I’ve put a link at the bottom of this page.

So, enough talking, let’s get on the article . . . Read the rest of this entry »

The Bluebird Cafe in Ferring . . our perfect August Bank Holiday!

We got out of the car and were instantly hit by that lovely, salty smell of the sea.  As we took a moment to breath it in Bluebird Cafe - Ferry, West Sussexproperly we realised that mixed in with it was also the gorgeous smell of breakfasts cooking……………..hurray we had arrived!

A late night ‘weather update’ text from one of the antenatal girls had assured me that the Bank Holiday was ‘going to be a scorcher’, in our house that means only one thing…………..breakfast at the beach!

The beach in question is Ferring and the place to be, as far as we are concerned, is the Bluebird Cafe.  An absolute gem of a place serving the most delicious food right on the beach.  We mainly go for breakfast – I love the salmon bagels, but my Mum and Dad go for lunch, and I definitely intend to have tea and cakes there one day too!  Read the rest of this entry »

Baby Wipes . . is there nothing they can’t handle?

baby_wipes As mums, we all know that baby wipes are the ‘must have’ for any  home. Yet the crazy thing is, we end up using them more for other things than actually on our babe.

So, here are our Top 5 uses that we’ve found them perfect for – AND, we’ve left the comment boxes open, so please add YOUR favourites to our list (We want to see how big this can become!!):

  1. Removing hair dye – this is my personal favourite. My mum dyes my hair but always gets a bit slap-happy round my hair line.  I’ve never found anything that can get rid of it, apart from a baby wipe. Read the rest of this entry »

Internet Business Success Stories – ‘Izzy and Floyd’

Izzy-and-Floyd - personalised gifts for your babyDeborah has shared her wonderful story with Internet Mums with how she has started a successful internet business of her own, called Izzy and Floyd. Enjoy . . .

“Here is a short little bit of info about the online Baby Gift Business I have set up. I’m a Mum who works from my Studio at home in Ruthin, North Wales.

I had the idea of starting my own online Baby Gift Store when I had Izzy my beautiful little peach of a daughter 21 months ago, and set the ball rolling. Then in Feb 2009 I lost my job due to the ‘Credit Crunch’ and knew that it was now or never.

I did try and get a local grant from the Council to help with the funding of my new venture but to no avail, but hey ho I was going to do it anyway with or without them. And that is one short bit of advice I would like to share. Don’t let anyone stop you with your Dreams. Yes it was a kick in the teeth when I was refused the grant but I just dusted myself off and well, the rest is history. Read the rest of this entry »
